Mr. Koster obtained his MSc. in Materials Science at Delft University in 1980. He worked at miscellaneous companies before working at Northrop Aircraft on developing manufacturing methods for new composite materials. At Philips Electronics he was a materials consultant for domestic appliances and an application scientist in transmission electron microscopy. At a polytechnical school initiated a new Materials Engineering curriculum. Since 1992 he is an assistant professor in the Delft University of Technology Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering. In 2001 he obtained the Register Polymer Science title, after passing examinations in advanced polymer physics, properties, rheology and processing.
He is currently working on designing and manufacturing with new materials, in particular bio-based and nanostructured materials. |
